That's as much a check on myself and my own knee-jerk reactions to assume someone doesn't know what they are talking about when they might actually have greater experience in something than me. Likewise, if a player is making a recommendation or comment on a type of ship or a specific one, I might look to see if they have experience in the subject in question. A player with thousands of battles under their belt claiming that the game is broken because they can't see Destroyers 10 km away, for instance, would cause me to react to their statement differently than someone with only a dozen. As others in this thread, I generally only check a player's stats to get an understanding of their experiences when I see them making statements that seem off to me.
